A welcome spot to land on a snowy night driving through Wisconsin. Great bargain - clean and cozy room. Fresh-smelling! No overpowering "air fresheners" either. My only complaints: stairs and upper balcony felt slippery and somewhat perilous on this snowy night. And, TV blaring loudly all night in the room next door (not really the motel's fault). Overall, very happy with my stay. Sweet guy at the front desk. Worth going 20 minutes out of my way to save $25 at the Thunderbird!

Great place, amazing management and friendly staff. Clean rooms and quiet. Amenities like ice machines, Wi-Fi, and cable TV. Great parks close by. You will need to find somewhere to wash clothes and the only 2 laundry mats are on Broadway. But if you're looking for a nice quiet get away this is just the place!

Safe, clean, and cheap - highly recommend! My friend and I are travelling to Minnesota. We stayed here for one night halfway through our journey. We checked in on a Sunday and paid $55 (includes tax) for a single room with two large beds. I highly recommend this hotel because I wasn't scared to be there. If there were creepers, they kept to themselves. Also, it was remarkably clean for the price. I need to be specific: there were no bedbugs that we could find evidence of and no bites in the night (this was our biggest concern when choosing a place to stay); the linens were clearly not soiled and seemed/smelled freshly laundered; the bathroom, carpets, drains, etc, were obviously cleaned. Before you visit, you should know: they allow pets. We didn't bring any pets, but they would have been allowed if we had. There is an extra fee for each pet ($10, I think??) There is also evidence that this is a pet-allowed hotel. When we first came in we snatched the sheets off the beds to look for bed bugs. We did not find any, but we did see pet hair on the mattresses and some stains. Allergy sufferers beware! I have a doggo (my mom is babysitting), so I didn't mind. There is a nice handle in the shower just FYI. Also, the shower head is fixed and does not detach. This hotel is in a great location - we hunted Pokemon all around the place. There is a restaurant and a bowling alley next door. They are also very busy. It seems like lots of people trust this place as a good place to stay. Disclaimer: I forgot to take photos before we stayed, so the pictures show the room in disarray and the shower wet - we had just used it. Sorry about that. I think the pics still give you a good idea of the place - for choosing to stay or not. Watch out when you're looking for it, there are lots of places with, "thunder" in the name nearby. The AC works great!

I personally liked the vibe. Some reviews call it dated, but it’d say it’s retro in a good way. The room was clean, the mattress was comfy, and the basics are there like coffee, fridge, microwave, towels, shampoo. Staff are nice and check-in is easy. 100% worth it, especially when nearby alternatives are practically double the cost and no better in comfort.

Good size rooms, clean for the most part. The only real downside was the beds. Very tough to sleep on and made noises whenever you shifted. Overall I would consider staying here again for the price. Staff was friendly and easy check in process.

The room quality was fine for an individual or family just needing a place to stay and sleep for a fair price. Why spend over $100 just for a place to lay your stuff and your head. I'm kind of a fussy person and I found the rooms clean, fresh and fairly modern. There's a restaurant next door and another just a short walk down the street. There's also a grocery store next door. If I were to make an improvement, it would be to freshen the look of the individual room doors. They're a green color, but many are faded and worn. I would also brighten up the sign on the road. Overall, this was a good and safe place to stay. It was easy to book and everything was as expected. I would definitely book again.

The room was lovely, very spacious with lovely views. The shower worked well. The place is really great, very relaxing and enjoyable. Despite being busy, I never felt crowded. It was the nicest place I have ever been to.

We found the room exceptionally clean. The gentleman who check us in was kind and caring. He made sure our needs were met and made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The next building over is the Four Star Restaurant. The food was wonderful. So for those who are looking for a nice place to stay that is clean and quiet, please check the Thunderbird Motel out. You won't be disappointed.
